Dr. habil. Levente Kovács PhD
He is an internationally noted expert in the fields of bovine behavioral, stress and production physiology. He has over 8 years of experience in using non-invasive methods to assess stress arising from technology or environment, and in conducting research on such topics. He demonstrated firstly in the scientific literature the suitability of heart rate variability to describe the levels of heat stress in cattle.
He won several research applications in 2016 (e.g. the János Bolyai Scholarship of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the OTKA Postdoctoral Scholarship of the NRDIO), in 2017 and 2018 (Young Researcher Scholarship of the New National Excellence Program in both years). In 2017, he was also awarded the title of “Agricultural Researcher of the Year”. In 2020 he was awarded by the National Agricultural Research and Innovation Centre as well.
He is currently the coordinator of an international project (IoF2020, Internet of Food and Farm, total budget: EUR 370,000) and head researcher of two domestic R&D projects.

He has authored 1 book, 3 excerpts, 35 other peer-reviewed scientific articles, and presented more than 30 international and 60 domestic conferences.
